Concession Stand Information and Rules

Concession Stand Volunteer Rules

Volunteers in the concession stand must follow the following rules. Anyone not following these rules will have their name removed from the DIBS hours they have claimed and will not receive credit for the hours. Our concession stand is a state licensed food service facility and we must follow state guidelines.

1) Absolutely no children under the age of 14 are allowed in the concession stand at any time!

2) Volunteers MUST complete a training session or have worked in the SPYHA concession stand in the last 12 months before working in the concession stand. Alternately, new volunteers may work with an experienced volunteer or paid staff to obtain training.  Please plan in advance and do not assume that someone will be there to train you.

3) Volunteers MUST be a minimum of 16 years of age.

4) Volunteers must complete a volunteer form at the completion of their shift in order to receive credit.

5) Volunteers are expected to stock, clean and organize the concession stand when not serving customers. Those not completing these tasks will not be allowed to volunteer hours in the concession stand.

6)  If you claim the first (opening) shift, please arrive with ample time to locate a zamboni driver to open the concession stand for you.

7) Our concession stand is new and beautiful! Let's keep it that way!!

CONCESSION TRAINING

Do you need concession stand training?

If you have not yet attended a concession stand training, you MUST attend concession training. Those who wish to have a refresher are welcome as well.

Concession Stand Information

General concession stand information is now available online: brush up on food preparation, review opening and closing procedures and more.   Don't worry - this same information is still in the concession stand handbook in the concession stand.

Questions about concessions?  Email concessions@spyha.com and one of the Concessions Committee members will help you out.
